COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT/EQUITY POLICIES
OCCUR provides leadership, in collaboration with regional and national efforts that seek to compel and negotiate with banks and other lending and financial institutions to implement project-driven investment strategies in an effort to combat the system of lending discrimination and “redlining” in under-served communities. OCCUR remains a regional leader on issues linked to fair lending and the equitable distribution of reinvestment opportunities. OCCUR is a founding and current member of the Board of Directors of the Greenlining Institute and Coalition, a national policy, organizing, and leadership institute working for social and economic justice. |
