OCCUR
NEWS
The new administration of mayor Ronald
Dellums has taken the helm of a
city facing many challenges. He has hit the ground running and there
are task forces meeting and planning new approaches and potential
solutions to address many of the problems and issues.
One of the most important aspects of OCCUR
is our committment to pioneering innovative and progressive new
programs that helps communities develop economic sustainability and
capacity.
OCCUR also offers technical assistance to
over 1000 organizations, agencies and communities. For example, each
year OCCUR facilitates an annual Nonprofit Conference and Workshop.
It is obvious that one of the reasons that
Oakland has provided opportunities for diverse communities to excel has
been the presence and involvement of OCCUR.
Take a quick tour of our website and if any
of our projects and programs interest you please take the time to
contact us and let us know how we can work together to build the
community and enhance the capacity of the organizations that work here.
